Pedometers Can Keep You Motivated

Pedometers may vary in price, shape, size and even functions, but they all have one thing in common - they can help you stay motivated to continue your fitness walking routine.

For that, even the least expensive step counters (you know, the ones with a small metal ball in them that click when you walk, and maybe even if you fidget in your chair enough) can be all it takes to get you out the door if accuracy isn't a major concern.  When distance traveled, number of steps, clocks, alarms, and other functionality is important, then $25 - $70 is most likely the price range where you'll find pretty much what you want in a pedometer, and it will most likely be digital.

So if you need a little extra motivation to get you back on the walking path, then do consider using a pedometer.  Try for 500 steps or so to get started, and then try to add a few each day until you get to whatever goal you are tyring for.
